The official weigh-in for Bellator 273 took place in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, where the heavyweight title fight between current champion Ryan Bader (28-7 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) and Russia’s Valentin Moldavsky (11-1 MMA, 6-0 BMMA), who holds the interim belt, will take place.
In the co-feature, former UFC and WEC lightweight champ Benson Henderson (28-11 MMA, 5-6 BMMA) takes on Islam Mamedov (20-1-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) in a lightweight bout that both fighters hit their respective marks for Friday.
One preliminary card bout was scrapped by the Arizona Department of Gaming when short-notice replacement Fabricio Franco missed the featherweight limit by 5.2 pounds. After he visibly struggled on the scale, his bout vs. Weber Almeida was quickly called off.
