Former super middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (30-1, 14 KOs) underwent surgery in Dallas after fracturing the orbital region of his right eye.
The boxer was injured in a fight with WBC, WBO and WBA super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs). Saunders did not make it to the 9th round and was unable to continue the fight.
