The Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Texas Longhorns 28-14 in the semifinal of the College Football Playoff, officially punching their ticket to the national title game. Texas capped off the 2024 season with a 13-3 record, having lost to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff and twice to the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Longhorns’ matchup against the Buckeyes is widely viewed as the final game in a Texas uniform for quarterback Quinn Ewers. Just moments after the loss to Ohio State, fans highlighted a passing of the torch from Ewers to Manning.

Upon the release of the video, some fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts on Manning’s postgame move.
“Should’ve been in this game smh,” said one fan.
“He needs to get out of there. Grossly underutilized,” said another fan.

Manning now heads into the 2025 season, his junior year with the Longhorns as the anticipated starting quarterback.
The former No. 1 overall recruit from the class of 2023, finished the season with nine touchdowns and 939 yards, completing 67.8% of his pass attempts. He also recorded four touchdowns and 108 yards on the ground.
