Dana White confirmed the fight between Derrick Lewis versus Francis Ngannou, and spoke about the future of Jon Jones.

UFC President Dana White confirmed Monday that a rematch with Derrick Lewis will be next for Francis Ngannou, this time giving an update on John Jones.

Prior to the March UFC 260 event, the winner of Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 will fight Jon Jones in their next battle in the Octagon. However, shortly after ‘The Predator’ knocked out Stipe in the second round, negotiations between Jones and the UFC quickly began to decline.

According to Dana White, John Jones demanded $ 30 million for a proposed super fight with Francis Ngannou. Jon Jones was quick to deny Dana White’s claims, and the couple seem to be at a dead end ever since.

Dana White confirmed the fight between Derrick Lewis versus Francis Ngannou, and spoke about the future of Jon Jones.

Following recent speculation that “the Black Beast” rematch was “probably next” for the new heavyweight champion, Dana White confirmed tonight that Lewis vs. Ngannu II will take place later this summer.

“Whether John has a manager or not, John will do what John wants,” White told TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter. “So this is probably what Jon Jones needs to train with, you know, I know he has a good relationship with Hunter (Campbell). So I think these guys will get together and talk soon. “

Dana White continued:

“Listen, you look as the last however many years and people ask me who I think the best ever is and I say Jon Jones. You know, Jon Jones is a massive part of the history of this company. He’s one of the best ever. No matter where you stand, whether you think it is him, Anderson, Khabib, GSP, wherever you stand on that, he’s one of the best of all-time. Obviously there is still some big fights that can be made with him and we would love to do it. You know, it’s not like we can’t get something done over here.”

As for if Ngannou vs. Lewis 2 was still up in the air, Dana White shared the following exciting news.

“No, we are working on that fight. That fight (Lewis vs. Ngannou 2) is going to happen this summer.”
