Dana White

UFC President Dana White says he is not yet convinced that PFL star Kayla Harrison is ready to fight in the world’s leading promotion.

Dana White not sure yet if Kayla Harrison is ready for the UFC

Harrison, a two-time Olympic judo champion, made her MMA debut in 2018 in the PFL and has since set a perfect 9-0 record in MMA, fighting for both PFL and Invicta FC. She absolutely destroyed everyone in her path, and no one even to some extent competed with her. In her last bout, Harrison defeated Mariana Morais in the first round TKO of the PFL 3 lightweight title in the regular season. It was another easy win for Harrison and another fight in which she was a massive favorite in betting. This has led fans to hope that she can finally join the UFC and face stiffer competition.

However, while Harrison looks great, White is not yet sure if she’s ready for the UFC. Speaking to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, White said he isn’t sure if Harrison is ready to step up the competition and take on some of the UFC’s finest fighters.

“I don’t know if she’s ready.” I am always looking for the best people to come and fight. If you think we invited her to come, I just don’t know if her people think she’s ready, ”said White (h / t BloodyElbow.com).

“When you get here, it will be on a completely different level. Amanda, Germaine, Holly, Aspen Ladd. You have Julianne Peña. The list goes on and on. So it’s much more difficult when you come here, so I don’t know if they think she’s ready or not yet. But we’ll find out. ”

Harrison will aim to win another $ 1 million PFL tournament this year. If she wins again, you can fully expect new calls for her to join the UFC roster.
