Daniel Cormier gave Islam Makhachev an almighty slap after the reigning UFC lightweight champion told a joke that he wasn’t too fond of.
It’s fair to say the former two-weight world champion isn’t someone it’s advised to make fun of.

Ahead of Islam Makhachev’s title defense against Renato Moicano at UFC 311 later tonight, the Dagestani sat down with Daniel Cormier on the legend’s YouTube channel, for an entertaining interview.
During their discussion, ‘DC’ brought up the fact that Khabib Nurmagomedov was removed from a Frontier Airlines flight as he didn’t want to move from his exit seat when the crew questioned whether he could help if an emergency occurred.
He asked his guest: “Why they kick him out? It’s crazy? Why did they do this to my guy?”
Rather than answering the question directly, Makhachev instead decided to tell the host: “I understand if they kick you out from this emergency exit, because you are so big.”
Utterly stunned by the comment, the UFC Hall of Famer slapped the Dagestani on the hand, before insisting: “Don’t do that. Don’t be disrespectful.”
However, rather than apologizing for his remark, Makhachev instead chose to try and provide a valid explanation, insisting: “You’re a little bit big; you can’t move too much.”
Bamboozled by what he was hearing, Cormier protested: “All you’ve got to do is pull the lever.”
