David Haye reacts to Vasiliy Lomachenko's loss to Devin Haney

Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko locked horns last night at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The highly anticipated undisputed lightweight championship bout proved to be much closer than everyone expected and despite Lomachenko going into the fight as the underdog, he looked like the better fighter.

In a result that shocked the majority of the boxing world, Devin Haney retained his undisputed lightweight championship via unanimous decision (115-113, 115-113, 116-112). However, it’s not the overall scorecards that have been mocked by boxing fans the most.

Former world champion in two weight categories David Haye commented on the controversial defeat of Vasily Lomachenko in a fight against the holder of all lightweight titles Devin Haney.

According to Haye, he did not calculate for himself who won this fight, but he would love to see a rematch.

“It was a tight, close fight. Excellent skills. I didn’t count the points. I sat and enjoyed the skills. That’s what I’m here for.

If everyone wants to see Devin Haney fight with Gervonta Davis, then I like it, if it makes sense. Or a rematch with Lomachenko. I’ll be happy to watch their rematch. What does Vasiliy Lomachenko need to do to win the rematch? I don’t know, he did a lot today,” Haye said in an interview with the YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.
