The Aston Villa player Douglas Luiz spoke out about the video of Alisha Lehmann
Douglas Luiz, the Aston Villaplayer who played for Girona and was of interest to Atletico Madridin the summer, has hit out at the nature of the viral video of Aston Villa Women’s player Alisha Lehmann celebrating a goal.
The Brazilian, who is in a relationship with his fellow Villa player, replied to a Brazilian journalist who shared the viral video of Lehmann with the caption: “Watch and give your opinion”.
“You’re old, you’ve been in football for years and you post a video that doesn’t respect women’s football and not even the player, who is my girlfriend,” Luiz wrote on Twitter to Milton Neves, a 71-year-old journalist who has more than 2.2 million followers on Twitter alone.
Neves deleted the tweet in which he shared the video, which went viral on the internet and was widely shared on WhatsApp.
“You haven’t learned what respect is, that’s bulls**t,” said Luiz, who started dating Lehmann after she had broken up with fellow footballer Ramona Bachmann (PSG).
