After Conor McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault in a civil court in Ireland on Nov. 22, speculation has risen about the Irishman’s future with the UFC. The world’s biggest MMA promotion is yet to comment on the legal troubles of their biggest ever star, and anticipation is high to see how they address the situation.
Former UFC heavyweight contender Brendan Schaub recently commented on McGregor’s fighting future. ‘Big Brown’ believes that a potential boxing fight with Jake Paul, which Paul had previously suggested, has now gathered much more momentum.
According to Schaub, ‘The Notorious’ could find himself in deep financial trouble, and without a fighting home that could force him to turn to a clash with ‘The Problem Child’.
The former UFC fighter shared his thoughts during a recent video on his YouTube channel, Extra Thiccc, saying:
“If Conor wasn’t smart with his money, I guarentee you guys, you get Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul in a boxing match. Before this [legal situation] came out, I’d be like, ‘You’re out of your mind. Not a chance Conor [fights Jake].’ But if he’s living that fast life, where he’s a fast boy, usually fast boys aren’t the smartest with their money.”
He continued:
“I would highly doubt he was that smart with his money, you’ve got to start doing a little bit of strange for some change. And that little bit of strange is some Jake Paul-Conor McGregor.”
