Former UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos recently called out Conor McGregor for a fight

Former UFC lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos recently called out Conor McGregor for a fight.

The Irishman has been out of action after a brutal leg injury against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Since then, McGregor has bulked up considerably with ‘The Notorious’ implying that he is close to 190 lbs.

Many, including Rafael dos Anjos, Anthony Smith, and Joe Rogan, have accused the former UFC double champ of using steroids to help with recovery and bulking up.

In the post-fight interview of UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs Holland, Rafael dos Anjos expressed his keen interest in taking on McGregor. The Brazilian also revealed that July would be a good time for the potential bout, saying:

“Look at my resume. I fought everybody. I need to find somebody that I think I earned this fight…I will not ask UFC for extra crazy payday and I just want to have that fight. July works perfect for me. We’ll see what happens.”

Further, into the interview, Dos Anjos was asked about the Irishman’s alleged usage of steroids, to which he responded:

“He is out of USADA. Why he is out of the pool? So…his body looks so different. But I give him sometime to get clear.”

Joe Rogan comments on Conor McGregor’s alleged steroid use

On a recent episode of his popular podcast show, The Joe Rogan Experience, host Joe Rogan claimed that Conor McGregor has enough steroids in his body to “melt that USADA cup.”

Rogan pointed out that USADA doesn’t keep fighters who are injured in their testing pool. As a result, many have the opportunity to use PEDs without getting caught by the officials.

Speaking of Conor McGregor, the UFC color commentator said:

“He’s taking his shirt off and posing constantly and he looks like his piss would melt that USADA cup. Like it would just like burn a hold right to the bottom of that USADA cup… The weird thing is that there is a loophole in USADA that allows you to get out of the testing pool. It seems weird and you just need six months. If someone’s had an injury though, that’s a very wise way to approach it right?”
