Nate Diaz Reacts To Jake Paul, KSI's Backup Agreement

Former UFC star Nate Diaz has found himself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

While the Stockton star has been a topic of discussion recently owing to confirmation of his combat sports return, a boxing showdown opposite YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on August 5, attention is now on an incident on the streets of New Orleans.

Following MF & DAZN X Series 6, a celebrity boxing event that Diaz attended in support of his teammate Chris Avila, the fan favorite was filmed choking out a Logan Paul lookalike during a street brawl.

In the latest update, reports confirmed that a warrant has been issued for Diaz’s arrest by the New Orleans Police Department on a charge of second-degree battery.

With that, some uncertainty has arisen regarding Diaz’s planned boxing match with Paul this summer. As a result, “The Problem Child” recently accepted a backup proposal from his British rival KSI.

Evidently, that talk hasn’t pleased Nate Diaz.

The former UFC star, who exited the promotion last year after fighting out his contract with a submission victory over Tony Ferguson, took to Twitter to lay out his firm stance on Paul seeking another option for the August 5 date.

Diaz offered to step aside altogether, branding both Paul and KSI “p*ssies.” The Stockton star suggested he’d be happy to pursue a different opponent to the 26-year-old Cleveland native, and one with more fighting credentials.

“Lol why Don’t u to scared pussys just fight each other august,” Diaz wrote. “I’ll fight someone who can really fight”

It appears that the status of Diaz’s first post-UFC outing will remain up in the air for the time being, as he deals with the legal repercussions stemming from the recent incident in Louisiana.
