Francis Ngannou gave an angry response when asked if he still wants to share the cage with Jon Jones in a huge MMA showdown.
Over the last few years, ‘The Predator’ has expressed his desire to go head-to-head with his rival on numerous occasions.
Francis Ngannou is almost past caring whether he fights Jon Jones or not
While Francis Ngannou has left the UFC, the appetite among fans for a clash between him and Jon Jones, certainly hasn’t diminished.
With the Cameroonian recently dismantling Renan Ferreira, and becoming the PFL: Super Fights heavyweight champion, his supporters are still convinced he has the minerals to render ‘Bones’ unconscious.
However, while they’d love the fight, with Ngannou having been talking about it for so long, without any result, he’s grown tired of the conversation.
When asked about the potential clash by Seconds Out, he replied: “It’s been four years that I’ve been saying it; I’m confused that people keep asking me this question.”
At this point, the interviewer pushed the matter, asking whether there’s any chance whatsoever we could see the bout, to which the fighter, raged: “That’s not my problem, I don’t care about it anymore. If it happens, yes, if it doesn’t, f**k it.”
Francis Ngannou to take on Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall winner… Former UFC star speculates ‘The Predator’ could return
While it looks unlikely a battle between Ngannou and Jones is going to come to fruition anytime soon, a former heavyweight is still holding out hope.
At the UFC Tampa post-fight press conference, Dana White discussed the prospect of a major fight that would shock everyone.
With the champion of the promotion set to hopefully take on Tom Aspinall, the former MMA star in question has speculated whether the PFL King could go toe-to-toe the winner.
