UFC light heavyweight veteran Glover Teixeira plans to back up the upcoming title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Israel Adesanya. Which will take place on March 6th at UFC 259.
The 41-year-old Brazilian sees no problem getting in shape for the aforementioned event, even if he never makes it to the octagon. However, in doing so, Glover wants to make sure he gets paid for his efforts so that he can recoup the costs of the training camp.
“I talked about this with my team, but we did not receive any offer, although we discussed it,” said Glover Teixeira on MMA Junkie Radio. – “I would like to host the camp, but of course I would like to receive some financial compensation in order to recoup the training and call the guys.
Although to be honest, I believe that in the next fight I should fight for the title. I beat everyone the promotion put in my way. I beat Thiago, who fought for the belt and then fought me, and if he won our fight, then he probably would have got another title chance.
In 2020, I finished with two guys that Jon Jones couldn’t accommodate. So I think I should be next in line for the title. “
