Israel Adesanya recently challenged entire bar to a fight in New Zealand

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya made sure comedian Bert Kreischer felt safe in New Zealand.

Israel Adesanya reclaimed the UFC middleweight title by finishing Alex Pereira at UFC 287 earlier this year. He bounced back after stunningly losing the belt at UFC 281 last November.

Israel Adesanya is one of the biggest stars in MMA today and has garnered a massive fanbase. He resides and trains in New Zealand alongside some of the top names in fighting, including UFC’s pound-for-pound king Alexander Volkanovski.

Adesanya has proven to never shy away from a fight, including at a local bar during Kreischer’s tour in New Zealand.

During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Kreischer explained what happened when he and Adesanya partied at a New Zealand bar.

“We ended up at a bar in New Zealand at 3:00 a.m., and we got pretty lit,” Kreischer said. “He stands up, I stand up with him back-to-back, and we challenge everyone in the bar to a fistfight…and he said ‘I’ll call every motherfucker in the room for this man right here!’

“I thought he was doing a Steve Harvey bit,” Kreischer continued. “We started going table to table challenging motherfuckers: ‘Who wants it? Who wants it?’…we ended up buying the whole bar shots three times.”

Israel Adesanya is expected to return to defend his middleweight title by the end of 2023. He’ll likely face the winner of Robert Whittaker vs. Dricus du Plessis, which takes place at UFC 290.

Israel Adesanya is one of the top strikers in UFC history, and it’s safe to say that it wouldn’t be wise for an average stranger to challenge him to a physical conflict.
