Jake Paul and Mike Tyson were partying at Donald Trump’s Inauguration Ball, raising a strong reaction.
This was the first interaction between the pair following their fight. They faced off in an eight-rounder, which was Tyson’s first professional boxing fight since 2005. He pulled out of the initial fight date after worries over his health. He was suffering from an inflamed ulcer. While he did face Paul eventually and made it to the final bell, he admitted that he was wearing a compression sleeve on his knee.
The suggestion was that he was guarding against an injury. He ultimately suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss. But he made a reported $20 million from the fight, more than what most active boxers will make from the sport. There was no love lost between Tyson and Jake as the following video shows. Jake can be seen lifting Mike on his shoulders, who is having the time of his life.

Tyson is a supporter of Trump, having previously defended his decision to vote for him. He is close friends with Trump, having struck up a relationship during the 80s. Trump is also a massive combat sports fan, even if he prefers the UFC over boxing. Trump also helped the UFC put on some of their earlier shows with venues in Atlantic City, making him well-connected in the combat sports world. Tyson was asked about his liking for Trump, which made him irate, as shown in the clip below.
“I’m voting for Trump. So what’s somebody going to do about it? I like Donald Trump and I’m gonna vote for him. So what? “What are you gonna do? Shoot me? Beat me up? “The way they were treating him in the papers and in the press? Think about that, the way they treat him in court? That’s the way they did black people,” Tyson said

The 58-year-old could still return to the boxing ring. In his post-fight comments following the Paul fight, he called out Jake’s brother, Logan Paul. Logan reacted by stating that he would ‘kill’ Mike. However, there were some dangers from the Jake fight. Tyson was on record saying that he blanked out. There were safety concerns before the fight took place. Evander Holyfield’s 2021 comeback showed that too. It ended in disaster after Victor Belfort stopped him in the first round. Mike also disclosed that he was suffering from depression, showing the dangers can emerge with worries there is not enough aftercare once fighters retire.
“I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little.I remember coming back from the first round, and Jake is doing some kind of, I don’t know what he was doing [a bow]. That’s the last thing I remember. I don’t remember [the fight]. But my body was really sore [afterward]. My chest, and my stomach was really sore… The day after I woke up, I said to my wife ‘Why did I do that?’. I just don’t know what the hell was going on,” Tyson stated
