Former middleweight title challenger Jared Cannonier, currently ranked No. 5 at 185 pounds, will mix it up with No.
12-ranked contender Caio Borralho atop the upcoming UFC Vegas 96 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled for this Sat. night (Aug. 24, 2024) on ESPN and ESPN+ at APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 40 year-old Cannonier (17-7) is looking to rebound from a technical knockout loss to middleweight contender Nassourdine Imavov as part of the UFC Louisville fight card back in June, a hasty referee stoppage that was not without its share of controversy.
As for Borralho, 31, he improved to 16-1 (1 NC) with his second-round knockout victory over Paul Craig at UFC 301 earlier this year in Brazil. The Brazilian is undefeated under the UFC banner at 6-0 after scoring two wins on Dana White’s “Contender Series” in 2021.
