Mixed martial arts fighter Jeff Monson announced his retirement at the age of 49. He announced his decision through social networks.
A few days ago, Monson suffered a complete rupture of the tendon during training, it would take him about a year to recover from such an injury, and therefore the fighter decided not to tempt fate further by hanging his gloves on a nail.

Now I realized that the most important thing is to take care of family and friends. Travel, meet those who are dear to you. The main thing in life! Be successful and healthy, I sincerely wish you that “, – quotes Mixed Martial Arts Monson’s statement on Facebook.
Currently, Monson has Russian citizenship and is a member of the council of the Krasnogorsk urban district of the Moscow region. Also an American with a Russian passport is a two-time winner of the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship and a world champion in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
