Jorge Masvidal has released a video finally responding to Gilbert Burns' callouts

Jorge Masvidal has released a video finally responding to Gilbert Burns’ callouts, challenging the Brazilian to a fight on the same card as the rumored welterweight title fight next year.

‘Gamebred’ has been dealing with legal action outside of the octagon following his attack on former teammate-turned-rival Colby Covington earlier this year.

Although they already had an ongoing feud, their relationship turned even sourer in the build-up to their fight after some remarks made by the NCAA Division I wrestler.

In a post on social media, Jorge Masvidal gave some insight into his absence from the spotlight and called out “p*ssy” Gilbert Burns for a potential title eliminator clash.

“I gotta address this little b*tch that I usually wouldn’t have time for but I’ll make some time for you today, Gilbert [Burns]. Hunter, if you’re hearing this or when you see this can you please tell this b*tch I never agreed to November, December, or January. I’ve had court cases, I’ve had different things, a bunch of things where I haven’t been able to decide when I want to fight. Now I’ve gotten some much better news on today, so guess what, if you wanna get your a** whooped when Leon Edwards defends that f***ing belt in England, I will gladly beat the living sh** out of you, Gilbert.”

Burns has been angling for a fight for some time and seemingly has his sights set on a brawl against the MMA veteran. Last time out, ‘Durinho’ was involved in a fight-of-the-year contender war alongside Khamzat Chimaev, once again proving how much of a threat he is since moving up to the welterweight division.

Check out what Jorge Masvidal had to say about the South American in the video below.

Is Jorge Masvidal ready to return?

Eight months removed from his highly-anticipated clash against Colby Covington at UFC 272, it looks like Jorge Masvidal could be set to make his imminent return to the octagon.

Dana White has already insisted that ‘Chaos’ is ready for a fight and plans are being put in place for him to fight Khamzat Chimaev next. This may mean that his legal issues with the 38-year-old could be coming to an end.

The Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman trilogy bout is being considered to go down in the UK, and as stated by Masvidal, he is open to welcoming Burns in the octagon on the same date.
