Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo baffled by Jamahal Hill's Mysterious UFC PI clash with Alex Pereira

Alex Pereira‘s near-scuffle with Jamahal Hill at the UFC Performance Institute raised some eyebrows when it took place. Now, a week later, it continues to raise eyebrows, with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo now questioning the logic behind Hill’s decision-making.

The manner in which Hill’s confrontation with Pereira transpired did not make him look favorable in the eyes of many, leading to even more ridicule than what ‘Sweet Dreams’ is used to facing.

And during Usman and Cejudo’s Pound 4 Pound podcast, the two men touched on the incident and found it perplexing:

“I don’t know what that purpose was because this is the thing Henry, you know if we got issues, if it’s on-site, like Jamahal Hill kind of made it look like, you should’ve let go right there. You’re face-to-face, you gotta let go. As he came up, ‘Not on Twitter now,’ like it’s gonna go down. But then you ain’t swing on him [and] he said, ‘Put the gloves on,’ and you ain’t put the gloves on. So what was the purpose of going up and saying that?”

Usman’s words drew a humorous reaction from Cejudo, who poked fun at Hill’s propensity for going on X tirades about Pereira and the irony of the entire confrontation:

“This isn’t Twitter, won’t put on the gloves, goes back to tweet about it.”

Check out Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo sharing their thoughts on the Alex Pereira-Jamahal Hill feud (7:31):

Ever since Hill’s embarrassing knockout loss to Alex Pereira at UFC 300, he has been on a mission to repair his image.

He talked a tremendous amount of trash before the fight only to become arguably Pereira’s easiest fight to date. He has been doing damage control since and is now determined to face Pereira in a rematch.
