Khamzat Chimaev is eyeing up his next potential opponent, and the UFC fighter wants a shot at the title

Khamzat Chimaev is eyeing up his next potential opponent, and the UFC fighter wants a shot at the title. Chimaev is unbeaten as a professional MMA fighter, boasting an impressive record of 12 wins and 0 losses.

In his latest Youtube video, ‘Borz’ was in Dubai training for a potential fight with no confirmed opponent. He spoke about how the UFC did not want him to fight Alex Pereira.

“Alex Pereira, he has six-one record, he lost. I never lost in my life, you know, and he lost against a sh*t guy. The guy is not even in the UFC as well. UFC don’t want it (The Alex Pereira fight), the guy (Pereira) don’t want it, what I gonna do? I just wanna fight, give me somebody.”

Khamzat Chimaev is undecided about whether he will return to action as a welterweight or a middleweight. In his last fight, he fought Kevin Holland, who had a catchweight of 180 lbs. In his last 2 fights, he had trouble sticking to the welterweight limit, and fans were left wondering if “Borz” would take his skills one division higher. Alex Pereira recently became the champion after beating Israel Adesanya.

The Brazilian has been on everyone’s hit list now since the reign of ‘The Last Stylebender’ ended. However, according to Chimaev, the UFC does not want to have a fight between himself and the Brazilian.

UFC’s latest all-American prospect believes he can beat Khamzat Chimaev

Bo Nickal has grabbed the attention of MMA and UFC fans with his dominant performances in Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS). However, the former NCAA wrestler has not yet made his debut in the UFC yet despite signing a contract in September this year. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, he spoke about why he thinks he can beat Khamzat Chimaev already:

“For sure, I wouldn’t have asked for it in an interview if I didn’t believe it. For me, is that fight gonna happen realistically? No. They want him to be the champ, they want to build him up and they want to build me up too, so if you’re looking at it from a professional perspective, that’s not the fight to make right now.”

He added:

“I’m gonna drag him down to the ground and do exactly what he does to all these strikers. And I’m gonna do it to him because I’m a real grappler I come from real wrestling”
