Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most terrifying grapplers in the UFC, but there’s one fighter that even he is a little bit scared of.
Knowing exactly what it takes to make it to the pinnacle of the sport, the Swede has nothing but admiration for this MMA legend.
Khamzat Chimaev reveals why he’s scared of Jon Jones
Khamzat Chimaev has emerged as a truly terrifying operator in the middleweight division.
With a savage aura, and truly remarkable wrestling skills, ‘Borz’ has captured the attention of fans, most recently beating Robert Whittaker in a statement performance.
When asked who the greatest fighter alive is during an interview on the Triple C Schmo Show, he said: “Jon Jones, of course, nobody is like him. He beats the monsters. I did all my training with Alexander Gustafsson; I know how good he is. And if Jon Jones could stop that guy, it’s scary.
“And DC (Daniel Cormier), he has pressure, good wrestling and boxing, and he has a mentality of just pressure the fighters. And Jones stopped that guy as well. If he stays in the game, he has to be the pound-for-pound number one.”

While he might not fight the same way as Jones, he certainly walks around with a similar aura.
One particular fighter has gone in depth about the way, Chimaev interacted with him in the lead-up to their major clash.
And it’s fair to say he wasn’t particularly complimentary about his rival’s actions.
