MMA Fans mercilessly troll Islam Makhachev as he tries to downplay Alex Volkanovski’s striking at UFC 284.
The Dagestani fighter posted a photo of himself connecting with a jab as Alexander Volkanovski can be seen moving back. The lightweight champion captioned the post on Twitter, saying:
“They called him “best striker in the world””

Islam Makhachev tried to flaunt the fact that he beat ‘the best striker in the world’ to retain his title. However, the fight was much closer than Makhachev tried to portray on Twitter and users were quick to troll the lightweight champion for his boast.

Islam Makhachev responds to Dan Hooker’s IV accusations
Shortly after UFC 284, Dan Hooker accused Islam Makhachev of using an IV to rehydrate, which is strictly against the rules of the UFC. Makhachev and his team came out and immediately defended the accusations, saying Hooker was jealous and was making baseless claims.

Not only did Dan Hooker claim that Islam Makhachev used an IV before his fight, he also believed that his training partner Alexander Volkanovski was robbed by the judges in his title fight against Makhachev.
