One of the UFC on ESPN 20 fights took place in Abu Dhabi, in which the thirteenth middleweight Omari Akhmedov (20-5-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) shared the octagon with the Englishman Tom Breese (12-2 MMA, 5- 2 UFC).
Akhmedov set off an aggressive start by lashing out at the Breese with artillery from heavy combinations. When his opponent refused to fall, Omari made a takedown, falling into the guillotine, from which he freed himself quite easily, after which he began to unleash powerful elbows from the half guard, while Tom Breese dodged as best he could, trying to avoid severe damage. The furious ground and pound exhausted Akhmedov, thanks to which Tom Breese was able to easily get to his feet, and when the Russian again tried to initiate the ground, Tom was able to take Omari’s back.
In the second round, Akhmedov decided to immediately throw himself at his feet, pulling Breese onto the canvas. His opponent tried to attack Omari’s leg, but Akhmedov successfully defended, then quickly took up the mount, wrapped his arm around Tom Breese’s neck, threw his hips to the side and made a choke.
