Paddy Pimblett is confident of getting a first-round finish against Jared Gordon when the two lightweight contenders face each other at UFC 282 on December 10.
The 27-year-old recently posted a vlog on his YouTube channel and gave a prediction for his upcoming fight:
“On top of the world. 3-0 in Cage Warriors, three first-round finishes, and then the lowest lows. 3-1 for the night, not too bad, but I promise you now, Jared Gordon is getting finished in the first. Watch!”
Paddy Pimblett is all set to face Jared Gordon at UFC 282 on December 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada. The Liverpool native is currently undefeated in the UFC since his debut in 2021, last beating Jordan Leavitt at UFC Fight Night 208 via second-round submission. ‘The Baddy’ will make his fourth appearance in the UFC.
Jared Gordon will also be coming off a win as he beat Leonardo Santos at UFC 278 back in August. ‘Flash’ won the bout via unanimous decision. He will make his 12th appearance in the UFC octagon.
Both fighters are currently unranked on the UFC’s lightweight roster. Apart from being his US debut, it will also be the first time Pimblett stars on a pay-per-view card.

Paddy Pimblett gives an update on his weight cut ahead of his bout against Jared Gordon at UFC 282
Paddy Pimblett’s fluctuating weight is no secret among fans. The 27-year-old has faced a lot of flak for his post-fight eating habits. In the aforementioned vlog, ‘The Baddy’ has claimed that his weight-cutting process will be much easier than the last time.
Pimblett revealed that the last fight camp for his bout against Jordan Leavitt was the “worst camp of his life” owing to the fact that he had to lose 20 kilograms/ 44 pounds in seven weeks. However, this time around, ‘The Baddy’ is in a better shape:
“The last camp was one of the worst camps of my life. I had like seven weeks to lose twenty kilos and I’ve done it. Where I’m at now, I’ve got like nine kilos to lose and I’ve done more than that overnight.”
He further stated:
“It’s not hard. Get yourself into a calorie deficit. Why do you think I got so fat? Because I’ve got to go from eating 1,500 to 2,000 calories a day to eating 8,000 a day. That’s why the weight piles on and that’s why it comes off so easy.”
Dana White has even expressed concern for the popular lightweight contender. The UFC president has stated that Pimblett’s post-fight weight gain is a cause for worry even for the promotion, as they have to be careful about planning his bouts.
