Paddy Pimblett is known for pulling off huge weight cuts before his fights, previously shedding 50lbs ahead of his UFC 282 clash against Jared Gordon in 2022
Paddy Pimblett showed off his incredible body transformation at the weigh-in for his fight against Bobby “King” Green at UFC 304 on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old looked shredded as he weighed in at 156lbs to complete his stunning journey from the start of the year, with a photo comparison showing a sizeable difference in shape before starting his training camp.
Pimblett showed fans his toned six-pack and slimmed down physique as he stepped onto the scales ahead of his big clash against Green in Manchester.
Before his last fight against Tony Ferguson – which he won via unanimous decision in December – Pimblett had tipped the scales at 155.5lbs.
“The Baddy” – who has a record of 21-3 – is known for pulling off huge weight cuts before his fights, previously shedding 50lbs from 206.6 to 156 ahead of his UFC 282 clash against Jared Gordon in 2022.
Pimblett has often gone on huge binges in between fights, with the Liverpudlian known for his love of junk food, having been criticised for his diet in the past.
He said in December 2022: “If I want to get chubby in the off season then I’ll get chubby, end of. I started this camp at 193lb, a lot of people start camps heavier than that. I certainly know that isn’t a big weight cut.”
MMA legend Michael Bisping has previously jumped to Pimblett’s defence and told critics to lay off him. “Paddy Pimblett, he’s stacking on the weight big time, Bisping said on his YouTube channel back in January.
“He’s been enjoying Christmas, my God has he ever because he’s back to what everyone calls Paddy ‘The Fatty’. So what? The man’s enjoying himself and so far, he’s made weight every single time so leave the man alone.
“It’s Christmas, he’s been enjoying, he’s been indulging, he’s been on the pies, God knows what he’s been doing.”
Pimblett will square off against Green following bitter words exchanged between the pair, who were seen having a fierce face off this week.
Green – who legally changed his first name to cage nickname “King” this month – hit out at his rival as a “stupid kid” who “won’t shut the f*** up”.
“He’s not a bad fighter at all. The problem is, he won’t shut the f*** up,” he told the MMA hour in May. “Shut the f*** up, smile, be that stupid kid with that stupid haircut, being happy and dancing, whatever he does. He does that little stupid dance, you know? Let him do his dance and be happy.”
