PFL promises bigger budget for Francis Ngannou for Battle of the Giants than the UFC's Sphere

Donn Davis has big plans for Battle of the Giants.

The biggest fight card the PFL will ever host will take place Oct. 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. “Battle of the Giants” will play host to a Super Fight title match-up between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira and another between Cris “Cyborg” Justino and Larissa Pacheco.

The massive card will also come with a massive budget, one that PFL claims will surpass the UFC’s budget for Noche UFC at the Sphere in Las Vegas. PFL co-founder Donn Davis spoke to the New York Post about the upcoming event saying, “the cost of this fight is astronomical.

“Dana White talks about his $20 million Sphere event; this is more. Fighters here make more. The card here that will be announced has more big fights coming. This cost to us is more than his cost at The Sphere,” Davis said.

White has expressed that the budget for the high-tech event had started at just $8 million but grew to more than $20 million by event time. The production included six mini-movies, haptic seats, new light installations, drones, holograms, and more. After the event, White announced a record-breaking $22 million in ticket sales.
