Where did his famous nickname come from?
Shara Bullet is one of the most prominent Caucasian fighters of our time. What interesting facts are known about this rapidly rising Dagestani UFC star? Even though he has suffered his first—and we are sure, only—defeat in his career.

The full name of this thirty-year-old hero is Sharabutdin Magomedovich Magomedov. He was born in Makhachkala and is ethnically an Avar, the largest ethnic group in Dagestan.
His social media nickname, as well as his childhood nickname, is Shara-Bullet.
Even in his youth, Shara Bullet was passionately involved in football. He even played as a goalkeeper for the amateur team of Buynaksk, a Dagestani city where his roots lie. However, his entire football career came to an end after a major brawl, where he got into a serious one-on-one fight with an opposing player. As a result, he was expelled from the team. It was then that Shara realized—he truly only wanted to fight.
The Kizilyurt football team, our eternal rivals, often crossed the line. In Makhachkala, I called my friends, and we met up with the Kizilyurt guys in the park, where we decided to settle things one-on-one. The coach told me: either you leave with us, or you’re done playing with the team. How could I leave after gathering so many people? We fought, and my arm hurt so badly afterward, it even went numb.
And so, our hero began practicing boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. He kept this passion even after moving to Moscow for his studies at RUDN University. Today, Shara is a master of sports in Muay Thai and kickboxing, as well as a two-time Moscow champion in these disciplines.
“I wanted to fight so badly that I could get into fights five times a day if I was lucky, of course,” Shara shared. “And I especially loved fighting older guys.”
Shara Bullet admits that he transitioned to MMA due to the low earnings in Muay Thai and kickboxing, as well as his own significant debts. He has fought 16 professional bouts in mixed martial arts, winning 15 of them, with 12 victories by knockout.
In 2016, our hero suffered a severe injury to his left eye. Interestingly, he himself isn’t sure when or how it happened—whether it was during a fight or due to excessive strain during training. In any case, he sought medical help too late. As a result, he now sees normally only with his right eye, a weakness his opponents sometimes try to exploit, though in vain.
Shara Bullet is also a strict adherent to Caucasian traditions. He once admitted that he saw vulgarly dressed, half-naked girls in mini-skirts in a Makhachkala park. He ran to a store, bought some eggs, and threw them at the girls for their inappropriate appearance.
In 2022, Shara Bullet got himself into a mess. He saw a couple kissing in a store in Makhachkala. He was outraged—such behavior is not accepted in Dagestan. He reprimanded the guy, who then started acting tough. A fight broke out.
“He kept coming at me and coming at me. I waited until he went outside. That’s where I hit him and knocked him out. The story later caused a huge uproar. There was a big scandal. However, more people supported me than condemned me. Luckily, I only got off with an administrative fine,” Shara Bullet recalled.
Once, while living in Thailand, Shara Bullet saved a local man from being beaten up.
“He was being attacked by a whole crowd. One of the hooligans lifted an iron bar stool over him. I ran over and grabbed the stool. I ended up having to fight the entire crowd. Luckily, my friend helped—a two-meter-tall heavyweight. But those thugs grabbed knives, and we had to run away from that street. Still, we saved that guy’s life.”
In China, Shara Bullet ended up in the hospital on an IV drip due to severe weight cutting before a fight. However, fearing he might be pulled from the match, he escaped from the hospital—still connected to the IV. He later stepped into the fight and won by early knockout.
Now, Shara is also fully immersed in acting in Hollywood films—he landed a role as a hitman.

Shara Bullet has been married for a long time. But, as a true Caucasian and Muslim, he doesn’t like to put his personal life on display. About his wife, he says:
“She comes from a well-off family. But back then, we didn’t have much money. We didn’t even have enough for potatoes. So, I had to limit her even when it came to coffee and ice cream. Now, we have two daughters—six and four years old. They already understand who their dad is, they watch my fights, and even come to the gym with me.”
