This month is prescribed daily fasting (saum), as well as zeal in the performance of worship to the Almighty. In Russian Muslim regions, fasting is called “Uraza”, and the holiday of the end of fasting is called “Uraza-Bayram.”[/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk_2xlCvGAE”][vc_column_text]Ramadan and Ramadan are one and the same word, the difference in pronunciation is caused by the peculiarities of Arabic phonetics. As for the meaning of the word “ramadan”, it comes from “ramda” (رمضاء) – “scorching heat” – and from the expression “ramida as-saim” (رمض الصائم) – “when the fasting person feels thirst in the throat and heat.”

During fasting, Muslims during the day refuse any food or drink, and do not have sexual intercourse. Fasting continues from morning prayer to evening azan (call for prayer), followed by iftar – conversation. His daily menu returns to the Muslim table, and the joys of family life without any additional restrictions to his bedroom.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]During Ramadan, one should restrain one’s temper, behave nobly, try to reach a new level of self-improvement in everything, do good deeds: do good to relatives and neighbors, help the disadvantaged, please their family, show social activity in order to improve society, learn and pass on knowledge to others.

One of the best deeds is to arrange iftar, feed fasting after sunset. This equates to the post itself.[/vc_column_text][vc_raw_html]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[/vc_raw_html][vc_separator color=”sandy_brown” style=”shadow” border_width=”10″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
