American mixed martial arts fighter Stephen Thompson believes that the UFC lightweight champion Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov has achieved everything in MMA and he does not need to resume his career. According to Stephen, the only fight that makes sense for the Russian representative is a rematch with the Irishman Conor McGregor, but he doubts that Khabib will agree to it.
“Nurmagomedov has already achieved everything, he is the elite. Khabib is the king of MMA and it doesn’t make sense to fight someone like Dan Hooker. The only fight that makes sense to him is against Conor McGregor. There is such tension between them, but this will not happen.
Conor wants to fight him, but I don’t think Khabib will agree to give him a rematch. This is a huge money fight. With that said, I see no reason to return to Nurmagomedov. This is not necessary, ”Thompson shared his opinion.
