Take a look how Conor McGregor displays incredible takedown defense and sprawling skills while wrestling 3 different fighters back to back

Conor McGregor has been inching his way to a UFC return over the past 16 months. ‘The Notorious’ sustained a terrible leg injury in his last bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. McGregor broke his leg near the end of the first round of the fight, and the doctor called off the bout in between rounds.

‘The Notorious’ entered full contact training several months ago, and recent footage of McGregor’s wrestling practice has gone viral. The Irishman is known for his striking abilities, but in the video, he displayed superb grappling skills.

Conor McGregor can be seen training with three different fighters in order to maintain a certain pace. ‘The Notorious’ showed impeccable balance and wrist control and could be nearing a return to the octagon.

The Irishman posted the following on Instagram:

“Sh*t hot everywhere. The real goat. There’s not a place I’m not great. Some of your goats can’t even kick. Watch my wrist work here. At some points you see my opponent has the illusion of the control of my wrist but I use this silliness to open doors with it…”

Conor McGregor has claimed to weigh around 265 lbs at the moment, so it isn’t clear which weight class he shall return to.

A dream matchup with Islam Makhachev at 155 lbs doesn’t seem likely. The UFC welterweight top 5 features Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, Khamzat Chimaev and Belal Muhammad. Hence, it makes sense for McGregor to train to improve his grappling.
