Former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson praised divisional peers Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor for their fight in the main event of UFC 257. El Cucuy congratulated Poirier on his victory and also said he enjoyed the tournament overall in Abu Dhabi.
“Good fight gentlemen Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. Great finish, Dustin. Wonderful fights today, UFC. It was great to see the audience in the arena,” Tony Ferguson wrote on his Twitter page.

Recall that Poirier defeated McGregor by TKO in the second round, taking revenge for an early defeat in 2014. With this victory, the American brought himself closer to the title fight, but the future of McGregor was again vague.
