Two Milan players tested positive for COVID-19 before playing against Juventus. Milan suffered serious losses before the central match of the 16th round of the Italian Serie A.
On the eve of the fight in the sixteenth round of the Italian Serie A against Juventus Turin, the football players and representatives of the Milan staff underwent mass testing to detect the facts of infection with the COVID-19 coronavirus.
According to the Rossoneri’s official website, Croatian striker Ante Rebić and Bosnian midfielder Rade Krunic have tested positive for smears.
The source reports that both players remained in self-isolation at home, and they have no pronounced symptoms of the disease. The club has informed health authorities about the incident, in accordance with the nationwide protocol to combat the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Italy.
Ante Rebić played 14 matches for the “red-blacks” in the new season (941 minutes), in which he distinguished himself with one goal scored, while giving eight assists.
Rade Krunich, in turn, took part in 20 matches (735 minutes), scoring one goal.
Milan also said that all the players were retested today, January 6, which showed no new positive results.
