Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley discussed the upcoming title fight between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns, who will split the octagon this weekend at the UFC 258 Main Event.
“Gilbert is a tough fighter,” said Tyron Woodley. “He’s a better grappler and hits a lot harder. I don’t think Usman won ground fights with Burns during training. But he can still be more confident in standing, because even if you give him a takedown, you know that he able to twist your leg. If you try to move him, he will take your back, make an armbar, put on a choke. He has a very, very high class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Kamaru Usman will have to think about it all the time. I think Gilbert Burns will trample on him with everything he has. This is his chance to become a champion. “
