On April 24, VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville (Florida) will host the 261st numbered tournament of the strongest American promotion of mixed martial arts UFC, in the main event of which there will be a rematch between welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and fourth-ranked Jorge Masvidal.
Recall that for the first time Usman and Masvidal divided the octagon in July 2020, and then Kamaru emerged victorious, who managed to neutralize Jorge’s striking power with the help of wrestling in the clinch and transfers to the ground.
In the co-main event of the evening, reigning women’s underweight champion Weili Zhang will have a second title defense against former winner Rose Namajunas. And also that evening Valentina Shevchenko, who owns a belt in the lightest division, will fight with Brazilian Jessica Andrade.
In total, fourteen fights are planned within the framework of the UFC 261 tournament with the participation of athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, China, Australia and the United States of America.
