The UFC handed out three bonuses after Saturday’s card, including a double dose of already doubled money to a highlight-reel winner.
After UFC 304, three fighters picked up an extra $100,000 instead of the customary $50K for their performances in Manchester, England – and one double-dipped. Check out the winners below.
UFC 304 – Performance of the Night: Mick Parkin
Mick Parkin def. Lukasz Brzeski via knockout (punches) – Round 1, 3:23
Mick Parkin (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) stayed unbeaten with the first finish of the night in front of his home fans. He shut the lights out on Lukasz Brzeski (10-5-1 MMA, 1-4 UFC) in the first round for a big $100,000 bonus, which almost certainly dwarfs his fight pay.
UFC 304 – Performance of the Night: Tom Aspinall
Tom Aspinall def. Curtis Blaydes via knockout (punches) – Round 1, 1:00
Tom Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) looked every bit the part of the best heavyweight in the world. He needed only one minute to take out Curtis Blaydes (18-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) in their rematch to retain the interim heavyweight title.
UFC 304 – Performance of the Night: Paddy Pimblett
Paddy Pimblett def. King Green via technical submission (triangle choke) – Round 1, 3:22
It was a good week for Paddy Pimblett (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC). He signed a new contract earlier in the week. Then he put King Green (32-16-1 MMA, 13-11-1 UFC) to sleep in the first round with a finish that was enough for Dana White to give him a double-dose of bonus juice for $200,000. Sorry, Modestas Bukauskas. Sorry, Sam Patterson.
