The countdown for UFC 300 in Las Vegas, Nev., is on for April 13.
So much so that the UFC unveiled a trailer just minutes after UFC Vegas 88 concluded to begin building momentum toward the historic night.
The UFC paid tribute to “Teenage Wasteland” (aka Baba O’Riley) throughout the feature. Its three-minute rendition of UFC highlights, past and present, can be seen in-house only, adding a unique touch to the promo itself.
White spoke on the sport’s impact and what UFC 300 means for the growth and brand.
Ever since the beginning, the UFC has been all about putting on the biggest events” White said. “When we put on these major fight cards, the whole world is watching. These are the moments fight fans remember for the rest of their lives. UFC 300 is gonna be one of those events that people are never gonna forget.”
Charles Oliveira, Alex Pereira, Cody Garbrandt, Max Holloway, Weili Zhang, Holly Holm, and Kayla Harrison were just a few of the names that graced the promo.
Unlike the UFC promos seen today, UFC 300 had an old-school feel, similar to when Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor walked the Las Vegas strip ahead of UFC 194 in December 2015.
Nevertheless, the event is four weeks away and is shaping to be one of the sport’s most highly anticipated.
The promo UFC 300 can be watched in its entirety below, narrated by UFC CEO Dana White.
