UFC Fight Night Calvin Kattar vs. Arnold Allen

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Allen (also known as UFC Fight Night 213 and UFC Vegas 63) will be the next Fight Night card from the world’s premier MMA promotion. The event will take place this Saturday, October 29, with several intriguing matchups lined up for MMA fans.

In the main event of UFC Fight Night, No.5-ranked featherweight contender Calvin Kattar will go up against No.6-seeded Arnold Allen.

The co-main event of UFC Vegas 63 will feature a welterweight showdown between Max Griffin and Tim Means. In another exciting matchup, Josh Fremd will go toe-to-toe against Tresean Gore in an exciting middleweight matchup.

While the main card will undoubtedly produce fireworks, the preliminary card of this Saturday’s Fight Night is also lined with many exciting matchups.

Calvin Kattar (23-6)

Calvin Kattar will enter UFC Vegas 63 this Saturday hoping to bounce back from his split decision loss to Josh Emmett in June. ‘The Boston Finisher’ is 1-2 in his past three bouts with his last win coming over the highly-touted Giga Chikadze in January.

Arnold Allen (18-1)

Arnold Allen is unbeaten in his 9-fight octagon career and is riding an impressive 11-fight win streak into this bout. In his most recent outing in March, the Brit dispatched Dan Hooker with a vicious first-round TKO.

Tim Means (32-13-1-1)

Tim Means is coming off a submission loss to Kevin Holland in June earlier this year. Prior to that loss, ‘The Dirty Bird’ was on a three-fight win streak, with every victory coming via decision.

Max Griffin (18-9)

Much like his opponent, Max Griffin also had his three-fight win streak snapped in his last octagon appearance. The Californian most recently dropped a split decision to Neil Magny in March 2022.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta (7-0)

Waldo Cortes-Acosta earned his UFC contract after his impressive first-round TKO victory over Danilo Suzart during Dana White’s Contender Series 2022: Week 2 in August. The undefeated prospect will now put his 7-0 record on the line against a man whose octagon career has been a train wreck.

Jared Vanderaa (12-9)

Jared Vanderaa’s MMA career has been on a downward spiral. ‘The Mountain’ is coming off four consecutive losses and is 1-5 under the promotional banner. The 30-year-old was finished in four of those five defeats.

Josh Fremd (9-3)

Josh Fremd made his promotional debut in April earlier this year and ended up on the wrong side of a unanimous decision against Anthony Hernandez. The 28-year-old is 2-2 in his last four bouts.

Tresean Gore (3-2)

Tresean Gore has had an unsuccessful 0-2 start to his UFC career and is also searching for his first promotional win. In his most recent octagon appearance in July, ‘Mr. Vicious’ suffered a vicious knockout at the hands of Cody Brundage.

Dustin Jacoby (18-5-1)

Dustin Jacoby is unbeaten in his last nine fights (1 draw) and is yet to taste defeat inside the UFC octagon. ‘The Hanyak’ most recently dispatched Da Un Jung with a first-round knockout.

Khalil Rountree (10-5-1)

Khalil Rountree has gone 3-3 in his last six bouts. The 32-year-old is coming of back-to-back finishes, which include a TKO victory over Karl Roberson in his latest triumph.

Roman Dolidze was handed his sole career defeat by Trevin Giles in March 2021. However, he rebounded with back-to-back victories, knocking out Kyle Daukaus last time out in June.

Andrei Arlovski (34-20-2)

Andrei Arlovski has rattled off four decision victories since his submission defeat to Tom Aspinall in February 2021. ‘The Pit Bull’ has the opportunity to record his first stoppage win since 2015.

Marcos Rogerio de Lima (19-8-1)

Marcos Rogerio de Lima has had a rollercoaster of a career since joining the UFC ranks in 2014. The Brazilian most recently dropped a unanimous decision to Blagoy Ivanov in May earlier this year.

Joseph Holmes (8-2)

Joseph Holmes followed up an unsuccessful start to his UFC career with an impressive first-round submission win over Alen Amedovski in May. ‘Ugly Man’ will hope to carry that momentum into his third promotional appearance this Saturday.

Jun Yong Park (14-5)

Jun Yong Park edged out Eryk Anders in his last octagan outing in May to bounce back from his knockout loss to Gregory Rodrigues last October. ‘The Iron Turtle’ will now seek his second consecutive win.

Chase Hooper (11-2-1)

Chase Hooper is 2-2 in his last four bouts, with alternating wins and losses. The 23-year-old scored a third-round TKO over Felipe Dias Colares in his most recent bout in May.

Steve Garcia (12-5)

Steve Garcia has gone 1-2 since joining the UFC ranks in February 2020. ‘Mean Machine’ was brutally knocked out by Maheshate Hayisaer in his last UFC appearance in June.

Josh Weems (11-2)

Josh Weems will make his promotional debut this Saturday on the back of two first-round submission victories. Prior to his back-to-back wins, the 28-year-old suffered a first-round TKO at the hands of Fernando Garcia at Dana White’s Contender Series 2021: Week 6. At the upcoming UFC Fight Night event, ‘Wide Open’ will have the opportunity to pick up his third straight finish.
