Paulo Costa took to Twitter to announce the only man he believes is capable of defeating the new UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
Following Makhachev’s dominant performance against Charles Oliveira, ‘Borrachinha’ jokingly named jiu-jitsu star Dillon Danis as the man he thinks can topple the new king of the 155lbs division.
Danis released a tweet following the Dagestani’s victory, claiming that he will easily submit Makhachev if they are to fight. Costa was up to his usual trolling antics and posted a screenshot of the tweet with the following caption:
“The only man in earth who can beat him [Makhachev]. Dana [White] make it happen”

Dillon Danis and Islam Makhachev have a pre-existing beef that dates back to 2018. The pair were heavily involved in the infamous brawl between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor’s teams in the aftermatch of their epic UFC 229 pay-per-view main event. Danis also trashed the Dagestani following his victory over Drew Dober last year.
The jiu-jitsu player reignited the beef on Friday when he tweeted the following towards Makhachev:
“Islam Makhachev is forever my b***h”

Paulo Costa pokes fun at Islam Makhachev and Hasbulla Magomedov following title victory
Paulo Costa appears to have taken the reins from Henry Cejudo as the UFC’s biggest troll and was incredibly active on Twitter during this weekend’s card.
UFC 280 was headlined by Islam Makhachev and Charles Oliveira with the Dagestani putting on an impressive performance to secure the belt.
Makhachev has his longtime friend and teammate Khabib Nurmagomedov in his corner for the fight. More surprisingly, he had viral sensation Hasbulla Magomedov in his corner too. The new lightweight champion and Hasbulla took a photo together with the belt, which gave ‘Borrachinha’ more than enough material to work with.
Paulo Costa posted the following on Twitter:
“Where is the mom?”

During UFC 280 fight week, news broke that Hasbulla had signed a contract with the UFC, which he announced via Instagram. Dana White also confirmed the same in an interview with TheMacLife. However, the UFC president did not disclose any specific details surrounding Hasbulla’s contract or what his role in the company might be.
