UFC news Islam Makhachev believes that Rafael dos Anjos has not become worse since the fight with Khabib

Rafael dos Anjos believes that there is too much hype around Islam Makhachev.

Rafael Dos Anjos will face Islam Makhachev at UFC 267 in October in a fight that could become the No. 1 fight in the UFC lightweight division. As for RDA, he had previously scheduled a fight with Makhachev twice, so he is looking forward to finally getting a chance to fight his opponent and prove that he’s hyped up too much. Speaking to AG Fight before their match, dos Anjos explained why, in his opinion, Makhachev is getting too much hype. As for dos Anjos, his teammate at Kings MMA in Beneil Dariush, does not get the respect he deserves, because he does not have AKA’s Daniel  Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov, who promote him.

“We’ve been talking nonsense on the internet, but finally let’s settle the score. It will be a good fight to put me in the mix, especially now that he’s got the hype all over him. I’ll show you that I’m alive, that I’m still in the game. I have complete confidence that I will beat Makhachev. When you have guys like Khabib Nurmagomedov in the corner, Cormier talking all the time, it creates even more hype. I even give Beneil Dariush as an example. He beat the same guys as Makhachev, even better, he was more convincing, but nobody talks about him. He beat Thiago Moises and went to fifth in the ranking,”Rafael dos Anjos said.

It has been said for many years that Makhachev will be the next coming of Nurmagomedov, but we will see how he will behave when he meets his legitimate rival in dos Anjos. This has nothing against Moises, who is a good fighter in himself, but the RDA is a completely different beast.
