UFC middleweight hilariously reacts to Conor McGregor’s bulked up physique in latest picture

Conor McGregor has packed on quite a few pounds of muscle en route to recovery from his UFC 264 leg break. Earlier this week, ‘The Notorious’ posted a rather bulked-up photo of himself to Twitter.

McGregor’s new physique has clearly taken UFC middleweight contender Derek Brunson by surprise. Sneaking in a sly jab at the Irishman’s quick gains, the middleweight asked the 34-year-old to text him the contact of his trainer:

“Dm me your trainer.”

‘The Notorious’ has packed on some size during his recovery. Last December, the former two-division champion posted numerous pictures showcasing his 190lbs muscular physique.

According to a report by BUSINESS INSIDER, ‘The Notorious’ packed on 34lbs of muscle in a brief period of 6 months, a highly unlikely metric even by professional bodybuilding standards.

Such claims have also resulted in other fighters accusing the Irishman of using steroids. Speaking to ESPN Deportes about a future fight with McGregor, UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal said:

“I am going to give everything inside me to kill him [McGregor], and I have a little size, although now he’s puncturing and putting steroids and all kinds of things, but he is still a little boy.”

In a recent Tweet, McGregor confirmed that he was planning to make his UFC return as a welterweight.

When Conor McGregor’s trainer revealed how the UFC star packed on insane amount of muscle in six months

In an interview with Spanish news outlet as, the Irishman’s trainer Alejandro Celdran revealed that high-volume hypertrophy training helped McGregor pack on 32lbs of muscle in just 6 months.

Celdarn elaborated that ‘The Notorious’ did at least four weekly sessions of training for each muscle group and maintained a rep range of six to fifteen during each set.

The 34-year-old reportedly also made use of free weight rather than machines for his workouts. Supersets (continuous workouts without rest between sets) were also an integral part of the former champion’s training regimen.

Conor McGregor has been out of action since breaking his leg at UFC 264 in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. According to UFC President Dana White, the 34-year-old is eyeing an early 2023 return to the octagon.
