On May 8, UFC Vegas 26 collected the best TV ratings.
6th place contender in 115 pounds, Marina Rodriguez was late for her usual trip to Las Vegas last week. After TJ Dillashaw was forced to abandon his long-awaited return fight against Corey Sandhagen, the promotion turned into another top 10 fight.
As a result, UFC Vegas 26 ended with Michelle Waterson, No. 9, as Rodriguez’s dance partner. Competing in the 125-pound featherweight title on short notice, the pair went into a five-round bout in which Rodriguez mostly prevailed over her opponent. The victory by unanimous decision improved her already impressive record to an even more accurate 14-1-2.
The 34-year-old sensationalist entered her first UFC main event after a massive second round knockout over Amanda Ribas at UFC 257 in January. According to MMA Fighting, UFC Vegas 26 averaged 741,000 viewers, making it the second most attended UFC event on ESPN TV of the year. With regard to specifically last Saturday, this event took first place in the ranking, gaining 23 points at the age of 18-49 years.
