UFC Vegas 70 full card results

Light heavyweight prospect Nikita Krylov was scheduled to fight Ryan Spann in his first UFC main event on Saturday.

However, the fight fell through at the last minute, with Krylov being rendered too sick to compete. Laura Sanko announced that ‘The Miner’ came into the Apex early but failed to recover despite being administered fluids by UFC medicos.

The original co-headliner between Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen was promoted to main-event status for a three-round clash. Allen went toe-to-toe against the dark horse of the middleweight division before pulling off a slick submission win with half-a-minute left on the clock.

‘All-in’ caught a body kick from ‘Sergipano’ and slammed the Brazilian to the canvas, ending up in side control. Allen initially attempted an arm-triangle before transitioning into a RNC that forced the tap.

Heavyweight veteran Augusto Sakai scored a unanimous decision win over Don’Tale Mayes in the co-main event, ending a four-fight skid. Sakai displayed excellent use of the clinch in outpointing his opponent with elbows and knees.

Undefeated prospect Tatiana Suarez scored a dominant second-round submission win over Montana De La Rosa on her return to the UFC octagon after nearly four years. While the fight was at flyweight, Suarez plans to move back down to 115 lbs. to compete for the title.

The main action started off with a welterweight clash between DWCS graduates Mike Malott and Yohan Lainesse. Both fighters were mostly gaging each other before Lainesse tripped and landed up in half guard. ‘White Lion’ briefly regained guard before Malott locked up a slick arm triangle that quickly earned the tap at 4:15 of the opening frame.
