Heading into the bout, Rozenstruik said he would be looking for a fast start. He admitted that his biggest flaw is that he’s turned into a slow starter and was looking to change that. Needless to say, he executed his game plan to perfection. In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, ‘Bigi Boy’ credited his coach for his success:

“I mean, we changed a lot of things in training and this is the result. As coach Conan [Silveira] told me, ‘Don’t forget who you are, this is who you are. So I took that with me tonight.”

With the win, Rozenstruik snapped a two-fight losing skid. Before UFC 282, he suffered back-to-back losses to Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. His professional record improved to 13-4, while Daukaus fell to 12-6.
