The end of the fight came in the ninth round. Joshua peppered Pulev with uppercuts, one of which ended with another knockdown for Kubrat. The Bulgarian got up, but Joshua immediately sent him back to the ring flooring with a right hand. The 39-year-old veteran has no strength left for another climb.
