The management of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promotion, organizing boxing fights on bare fists, after learning about the dismissal of Brazilian Junior Dos Santos and Dutchman Alistair Overme from the UFC, did not waste time and made an offer to the fighters.
This was announced by BKFC President David Feldman.
“Yes, we are interested in both Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. We have already made contact with them and their teams. Let’s see what happens,” Feldman told BJPenn.com via text message on Friday.
The bare knuckle fight promotion has already signed a plethora of ex-UFC fighters such as Chris Leben, Artem Lobov, Chris Lytle and, most recently, Paige VanZant. VanZant made her promotional debut at BKFC Knucklemania last month, losing to Britain Hart via unanimous decision.
We will remind, a few days ago it became known that the UFC terminated contracts with Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem. It is not yet known whether the fighters will look for a new job or decide to end their careers.
