Ciryl Gane challenges Jon Jones for a fight in March 2023

Ciryl Gane is not content with sitting around and waiting and is instead calling his shot. The former heavyweight title challenger wants a big fight and is targeting UFC 285 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 4 as the location.

Gane tweeted out a challenge to former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones to meet him in the octagon. With reigning heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou still not officially booked for a return, he is volunteering his services to welcome ‘Bones’ to the division, writing:

“Where you at @JohnnyBones? I’m free this March, Vegas”

If Ngannou can’t come to terms on a new deal with the UFC, ‘Bon Gamin’ vs. Bones would be the most logical fight to book. Jones would be competing against a technical striker and an opponent that moves very well for somebody his size.

Jones last competed at UFC 247 in 2020, which saw him earn a controversial split decision win against Dominick Reyes to defend his light heavyweight championship. It would be interesting to see how he performs, especially considering he’s coming off a three-year layoff and moving up a weight division.

Ciryl Gane set to corner his teammate Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Vegas 67

Ciryl Gane is set to corner his teammate Nassourdine Imavov this Saturday, when he takes on Sean Strickland in the main event at UFC Vegas 67.

Imavov vs. Strickland will be contested at light heavyweight after ‘Russian Sniper’s original opponent, former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum, was forced to withdraw from the event due to a mouth injury. Despite the bout being contested at 205lbs, the result will still be meaningful for the middleweight division.

The promotion’s European Twitter account tweeted a photo of the two with a caption reading:

“Teammates! @Ciryl_Gane flys in to corner @Imavov1at #UFCVegas67 this Saturday!”

‘Tarzan’ is currently the No.7-ranked middleweight and looking to snap a two-fight losing skid. Meanwhile, Imavov is currently the No.12-ranked middleweight and riding a three-fight winning streak that includes wins against Ian Heinisch, Edmen Shahbazyan, and Joaquin Buckley.
