Conor McGregor did not fail to entertain the crowd at a boxing even in Dubai by facing off with Petr Yan inside the ring. The former UFC two-division champ also got online fans buzzing as he was spotted right across reigning UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev while watching ringside.

An intense moment

McGregor attended the IBA Champions’ Night event in Dubai tis Saturday. As expected, “Notorious” was chilling and tuning in ringside while on the opposite side sat Makhachev. The two did not try to interact but they could evidently see each other from where they were seated.

Unsurprisingly, online fans who saw the situation via social media were thrilled. One fan was even assuming an ugly brawl would break out given McGregor’s history with Makhachev’s mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“Need the brawl video recorded on IMAX,” a fan said.

“It’s Islam, he probably doesn’t even know what’s going on ??,” another fan wrote.

“Poor Islam looked nervous. Khabib wasn’t their to hold his hand,” one fan added.

“The tension is palpable,” a fan reacted.

“McGregor is always yapping and Islam has a permanent NPC face,” another observed.

“Islam with the ‘I sh*t on bus’ look,” one fan said.

Face-to-face with Petr Yan

Top bantamweight contender Petr Yan was also in the event and at one point even entered the ring to engage in a lopsided face-off with McGregor. As seen in the clip now circulating online, “Notorious” dwarfed the shorter Yan and looked like he’s ready to bully the bantamweight fighter.

In the end, the two shook hands and nothing went out of hand.

Conor McGregor is expected to face Michael Chandler in his long-awaited UFC return. Chandler previously said he has been hearing about the fight happening in the first quarter of 2024.
