Former UFC Champion Sean Strickland Injured While Attempting a Wheelie on His Motorcycle

Sean Strickland suffered a series of injuries while attempting a stunt on his bike.

Strickland sustained a series of injuries while attempting to execute a wheelie on his motorcycle.

The former UFC middleweight world champion has been known to be a bit of a daredevil, racing around town on his bike and even getting into a Roman Candle war with his favorite interviewer, Nina-Marie Danielle. Up until now, ‘Tarzan’ has avoided any serious injuries and that looks to be the case despite completely trashing his bike during an ill-advised stunt.

Taking to social media, Sean Strickland shared an image of his smashed-up bike and one of the injuries he sustained in the incident.

Sean Strickland also posted a short video and further evidence of his many wounds via his Instagram stories

“Well you guys, I got a little overconfident,” Strickland said. “I was riding the Balance Point, I was doing it, I was keeping it up, kept doing it, then went a little too far back. Training today is gonna f*cking suck. But, I’m an idiot. I flipped my bike, gotta man up and train.”

Fortunately, it looks like the fan-favorite fighter was just a little banged up and shouldn’t miss any time in the gym.

Sean Strickland Willing to Wait for Winner of Du Plessis vs. Adesanya at UFC 305

After surrendering the middleweight title to Dricus Du Plessis via a somewhat controversial split decision loss in January, Strickland bounced back at UFC 302 in June, securing a decisive decision victory over Paulo Costa to re-establish himself as the top-ranked contender in the division.

Immediately following the fight, ‘Tarzan’ made it clear that he would be willing to sit on the sidelines and await the winner of next month’s 185-pound title tilt between Du Plessis and former two-time champion Israel Adesanya. Presumably, Strickland is in pole position to fight the victor, but after Robert Whittaker’s impressive showing against Ikram Aliskerov in Saudi Arabia, nothing is guaranteed.

Look back at Strickland’s lights-out performance against Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 below:
