Light heavyweights Ion Cutelaba and Devin Clark came to an agreement to meet at the upcoming UFC event scheduled on Sept. 18.
Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Tuesday following an initial report from MMA DNA.
The fight had been previously scheduled in May but Clark was forced out of the contest due to an injury and he was later replaced by Dustin Jacoby. Cutelaba ended up engaging in a three-round battle with Jacoby that ended in a split draw.
Now Cutelaba will look to return to the win column for the first time since 2019 after he also suffered a pair of losses in back-to-back fights against Magomed Ankalaev.
Meanwhile, Clark will also seek to return to the win column after he suffered a submission loss to former title contender Anthony Smith in November 2020. Prior to that setback, Clark had picked up back-to-back wins over Dequan Townsend and Alonzo Menifield.
As of now, the UFC event on Sept. 18 does not have a main event but the card is expected to take place inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
