The Buffalo Bills’ matchup against the Detroit Lion is the most highly-anticipated matchup of Week 15. With two of the most explosive offenses going head to head, viewers were in store for quite a show.
While the Bills already clinched the AFC East title and a spot in the playoffs, they’d love to usurp the No. 1 seed away from the Kansas City Chiefs. Of course, getting a win against the Lions, the No. 1 team in the NFC, is no easy feat, especially since a snow storm limited Buffalo’s practices this week.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen told reporters of the Lions, “It’s a really, really well coached team and they’ve battled with a lot of injuries throughout the season on that defensive side and you wouldn’t know by watching the film because they know their film and they attack on each and every play, and we got to be ready for them.”
However, the Lions defense struggled the shut the dual-threat superstar and Josh Allen made NFL history against the Lions in the first quarter.

ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg posted after his first score, “With his rush TD today, Josh Allen has five-straight games with a rushing TD, tying the longest streak of his NFL career. He is the only QB in NFL history to record multiple streaks of five or more consecutive games with a rushing TD.”
The 28-year-old quarterback went on to score a second rushing touchdown before the first quarter came to a close. Allen is simply playing lights out this season and has broken several NFL records this month alone.
During the Bills matchup against the Los Angeles Rams last week, Allen made history by becoming the first quarterback to ever register three passing touchdowns and three rushing scores in a single game.

During the Bills’ 35-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 1, the Wyoming alum became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for a touchdown, catch a touchdown, and throw a touchdown in a single game.
Allen is truly winning both on and off the field. During the team’s bye week, Allen announced that he proposed to Hailee Steinfeld.
